Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the basic approaches to candle making
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Understand the difference in the main waxes used in candles
- Be well-versed in candle language and terms
- Identify the appropriate waxes that should be used with the proper wicks, and vessels
- Be familiar with temperatures and how they can affect the outcome of the candle
- Understand oil usage and fragrance load
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of candle making
- Be aware of candle safety, chemical use, and legal requirements
- Tips on generating an income selling candles
Instructional Methods:
Course objectives and student competencies will be achieved through discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on learning
In-Person Course Requirements:

Notebook—You are responsible for taking detailed notes as the point of this class is for you to take what you learned and practice on your own.

Class attendance and participation—Once the class is scheduled it cannot be canceled (consideration may be taken for expectational circumstances).

Fees: The cost of the class is $300. A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due at booking. The additional $150.00 is due prior to the day of the class.

Your fee includes: Three hours of course instruction, all candles made by you are yours to keep. A small starter kit to assist you on your candle-making journey or a vendor list with extensive details regarding suppliers can be provided in lieu of a candle kit.

Your fee includes 1- to 2-hour course instruction and coaching, watch as I take you step by step as I make a candle and answer questions. A recording of the class for your reference.

Materials: All materials will be provided by Lit Life Creations as I make candles; you will be responsible for providing your own candle kit; vendor recommendations will be given.
Course Disclaimer: Candle making is an art and science therefore there are many methods and practices that can achieve the same goal. There are several different methods on how to use the waxes we will be practicing with however what you will learn in this course is a method that works for me. However, I am open to showing you other methods that have been proven to work as well.
